Posted - Feb 06 2012 : 07:31:50 AM Yes,Roe, the bugs in the deep south are an adjustment. I had that happen to me too. I once saw a roach, while walking my dog at night, under a streetlight. I am not kidding, it was about 5 inches long. And it flew! Whaaaa? Beware of fire ants, too. Welcome! :)

Posted - Feb 04 2012 : 9:31:26 PM Hi there! Welcome and have fun. I recently joined through a friend. I like it here. I signed up for a pen pal and the easter egg carton swap.
I live in Lee County, Florida. South West part of the state. Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres. I have lived here most of my memorable life. The bugs here are HUGE. The whole state is Jurassic Park! Growing season is flipped too. You will get used to it eventually. |
