I'm brand new here and have loved reading the different forum posts - what a wonderful group of sisters!

I'm a wife, mom of three, full-time admin and fledgling farmgirl. After living in the city and suburbs of southwest Michigan all my life, my family went rural in August of '09. With ongoing money struggles and a new baby born in October of last year, we haven't progressed much beyond 14 chickens and 4 ducks yet, but we've got a big barn, 8 acres, and a willing spirit, all waiting to be put to use this year.

I love vintage everything, baking, making recipes out of my antique cookbook collection, blogging (www.rustymoonhomestead.blogspot.com), crafting, and taking care of my family. I'm hoping that joining the Sisterhood will be a great way to get connected with other like-minded gals and keep me motivated to try new things.

So, hello!

Aw, ladies - I feel so welcome. I feel like I've made a bunch of new friends. :)

Penny, Marly, Rosefairymom, Marlee, Brightmeadow, Jessabelluh, and Graciegreeneyes, thank you so much!

Laurie, I love Jenna at CAF, too. Let me know how the bread recipe turns out - it's SO easy and reminds me of an expensive artisan bakery loaf. Thanks for following my blog. :)

Lainey Lou, I can tell what you mean already by how nice everyone is! Can't wait to check out everything that's going on here.

Susan, thanks so much for visiting my blog - I can't wait to check out yours and some of the other ladies' listed! Glad to know someone who actually "gets" my Big Announcement. lol
