Posted - Mar 20 2012 : 12:09:23 PM Good afternoon, everyone! I'm Maxine, a Vermonter born and raised! I'm 22 years old and a recent art college graduate. I've spent time living in Boston and rural Italy but Vermont will always have my heart. I'm the granddaughter of a Vermont dairy farmer who raised and trained Morgan horses in his retirement, so farm life has always been in my blood. I want it to be MORE of my life at the moment, but for now I'm sticking to what I know... I've been a crazy horse girl since I was a toddler, riding since age 4. I have an Appaloosa/Quarter horse who is kind of a big jerk but is so beautiful and a nice worker, so I put up with it, and the mounds of poop she leaves for me ;) I'm excited to get to know you all! |

Posted - Mar 21 2012 : 08:13:28 AM Hi Maxine!
Welcome to the forum from a former Vermonter! I was born and raised in Springfield, then lived in Chester for about 10 years before moving to PA in 1985. My family is still in Vermont (Springfield and Vershire), so I get back there often. I hope you enjoy it here on MJF as much as I do!
Hugs, Luanne

Posted - Mar 20 2012 : 2:56:57 PM Hi everyone! A big Hello from Ontario, Canada. I just joined this site. I like learning about what other people do in their lives and I am sure I will be entertained very well here. I am over 70 and I have all ready did a lot of things that you can do to be a FarmGirl Sister. I am not sure if I want to start over to get the badges at my age. It is a great site and I am enjoying it already. I hope I have things to offer others with handy tips and helpful advice from my past. We are never through learning from others. I am excited.
