Hello ya'll! :)

My name is Morgan and I live in Vermont (and have all my life). I am 30, kid-less thus far but loving life in the hills of Vermont with my husband and our dog, cat and two alpacas. We are in a continual state of home renovations but between mudding walls and painting siding, I love vegetable gardening and caring for our property. I've also taken up spinning (fiber, don't get too impressed yet ) and have enjoyed working with my alpaca fleeces in this manner.

I would looooove to meet some like-minded people in our area. People who would rather play in the dirt than attend a yoga class. :)

This seems like a great place!
Morgan

Good evening Morgan,

I live just south of you. We have a cow and two of her offspring. In the summer we raise pigs, chickens and turkeys for the freezer. I have never tried spinnning. I think I would need to have more unattended time than I do right now to attend to the detail. I have an acquaintance in Calais who spins. She and her husband kept sheep for years. Now they say they are old and do not want to put in the hay so she buys her bats. There is another woman here in Worcester who has sheep and a llama and she has classes in the evening sometimes.

Do you weave or knit?

Hi Morgan! Welcome home! I have a friend who keeps alpaca too and we are both wanting to learn to spin...I'm jealous, but excited for you that you get to do something like that. I, as a child, lived in MA and visited my GGM in Vermont several times a month; I just love it there and if I had my "druthers" that's where I'd be right now. I'm sure you will love it here; the farmgirls are sooooo wonderful!

Squashes and Hugs!

Hi Morgan !

I'm an ex-Vermonter. I grew up in Springfield, then lived in Chester for 10 years before moving to PA. My mother still lives in Springfield, and I have cousins in Vershire.

Hope you enjoy it here as much as I do!
