Greetings Sisters!

My name is Sarah, and I'm not just new here... two days ago was my first introduction to Mary Jane's Farm! I borrowed the Feb/Mar issue of Mom and I have been soaking up information like a sponge. When I saw the words, "think Girl Scouts for Grown-ups" I was giddy! I have an eight year old son and a seven year old daughter who are just as (well maybe not quite as) excited as I am to sign up and start working on badges!

I am a 30-year old mom who just last summer moved into an old family farm house with 3 acres of land. I was too late then to get the ground worked, but we've made a lot of progress getting the house livable and making it our own. After a debacle with some AWFUL renters followed by years of sitting empty, we still have quite a project on our hands... but I have had a lot of fun!

I will be adding my name to the Sisterhood this week - but I already started clucking! Feel free to email me at corley.daugherty@gmail.com Fellow googlers can find me there to chat, or find me on facebook.

Hey, Sarah! It's so nice you could join in on the fun. I know about no chapters in your area, but I'm working on that one too...lol Enjoy!

Squashes and hugs,

Kathryn

My goodness -- There aren't any chapters less than 2 hours away. I may just have to start my own group! Til then, I have plenty of sisters here.

Sarah,
So glad you shared your story. What fun to have two children so close in age. Mine were 9 years apart and a FEW years ago! Hope I didn't make you uncomfortable when I suggested you start your own topic...I meant to be encouraging. Sometimes, words don't express too well when you don't see someone's face. Which had a big anticipatory smile on it at the time.
