Posted - Jun 14 2005 : 02:48:05 AM Hi Farmgirls!
I live in Houston, Texas, but grew up on a farm in Iowa, where I lived until two years ago. My husband (who grew up on a farm in Illinois)'s business has required him to stay in Texas for three years. It is always neat to live in a new place, but we are both counting the days until we return to our farm. I know not everyone will agree, but I think that once you live on a farm, it is one of the hardest things to leave. Luckily, my brother and his family are taking care of the 200 acre farm for the three years we're in Texas. That's enough about me. I'm excited to meet the many members of the Farmgirl Connection community, so hello to everyone!

Posted - Jun 14 2005 : 2:15:08 PM Howdy Annie Mae Welcome to Texas. Wanted to invite you to join the HOWDY YA"LL Texas farmgirl chapter. I grew up in a small town in a rural area in Northern Illinois but have lived in Texas for many years. I lived in Dallas for 23 years, but I moved to a tiny farm outside of Fort Worth about 1.5 years ago. It has its challenges, but I just love it!!!

Posted - Jun 14 2005 : 08:04:20 AM I LOVE all the "Mae" names; Annie Mae, Molly Mae, I had and aunt named Minnie Mae. I guess I could change my middle name to Mae, but Nancy Mae just doesn't have the same appeal. [sigh]
Welcome to the the group, Annie Mae!
