Hi Everybody... I'm Kate. I found this site while surfing another site and boy am I glad! I love the patterns and already started making my first one... the maternity apron. It's just the cutest thing.

We live in a log home, smack dab in the middle of 42 acres because we were clueless about how much it cost to run water pipe, electricty an and a driveway when we first began. But now we are glad, because we are very hidden in our little cabin in the woods.

Looking forward to meeting other "farmgirls" who love to sew and garden! Kate~

Hi, there, Kate - I'm so excited that you found us here - I love imagining you in your secluded darling cabin, and I can't wait to hear more about your adventures... Enjoy!!! And I sure know the feeling of having days end too soon. Luckily, in summer they are actually longer here! See ya' around the farm!!!

XOXO, Libbie

WOW... I just popped in to read a bit and found all these sweet messages! Y'all are wonderful! You made my day, today!!

KARIN... yes, that was me when I was 3 years old...not telling the year, though, lol

ALEE... nope, the maternity apron isn't for me...but I wouldn't mind a bit if it were! I love babies. But I would need a "Sarah & Abraham" miracle for that...lol as I am a grandmother! (a "young" grandmother, ok? but still...big smile) Actually, I have an Etsy shop and I wanted to make some aprons for it. I used to make little wristlets and totes, and cell cozies...but kinda got bored with it. I love aprons and was making a new one for me one day when my daughter told me she thought I should put those in my shop. I hadn't seen girls wear aprons in a long time...but my Melissa told me they are "back in style". That's how I found this site.

BONNIE..Bonnie, Bonnie... that is one of my favorite verses... I get that little "roller coaster" thrill every time I read it~ I can just imagine Mary whirling around and half giggling as she proclaims it to the heavens...and my spirit always rejoices right along with her!

KATHIE... nope...no particular reason...I just hadn't seen maternity aprons before and thought that was such a good idea. When I was carrying my babies, I had to improvise on so many things and remember having to let the sides out of some of my maternity blouses as the "day" drew near!

GRACE... I agree with you... "happiness" is having lots of kitties. We have 13 (not intentionally, lol...but by default...took one in and didn't get her to the kitty doctor in time! And then there are the ones we call the "teacuppers", because we found them on the county road when they were so teeny tiny they would fit in a teacup. Someone had just dropped them off, I guess, because they didn't want them. Three of the prettiest little kittens you ever did see. I named them Biscuit, Sugar, and Cocoa... my little teaparty.

MARYJANE...thank you! I do love my Texas roots. When I was growing up, we lived all over the U.S., but Texas was always homebase. There is something special about it!

TALITHA... Yes!!... I do love it when I get unexpected blessings like this. God has a really neat way of doing that and fully agree with the verse that says, "the steps of a righteous man(or woman!) are ordained by the Lord" You can never make a wrong turn if you stand on that. Proverbs says "the mind of man makes a plan, but it's God who directs his steps"

To everyone who read my blog...thank you! I can't wait to read yours, too, and thereby get to know you better. I am just starting mine and it still needs some work. I need to "blog" more and "web design" less..
lol. Hopefully I will begin doing that now that I have it up and running. There's just so many cool things I want to do with it. And with my sewing, the farm and writing... I run out of time and the end of each day comes way too soon...sigh.

To everyone who welcomed me here...thank you! It was blessing, and I'm looking forward to getting to know each you better and sharing our farm experiences and lots of other things! Kate~
