I work in Vancouver -- we're all ok. We don't get tornadoes here! The last one was in 1972. We left to go to lunch about 12:20 and when we got to the restaurant the lights flickered. Then the waitress turned on the TV and said we've had a tornado. No warnings from the weather service or anything. At first they thought it had hit about 5 blocks from where I work. But it hit at a very busy intersection in Hazel Dell and went for 2 miles. Thank God the injuries were very minor and no one was killed.

My car broke down on the freeway yesterday. I had it towed to the Dodge dealer. They were right in the middle of where the tornado hit. I still can't get ahold of them to see what's going on with my car. Fortunately the dealership only had minor damage to their roof.

I couldn't believe the devastation I saw on the news last night - and this was a relatively minor tornado. I've never heard of a tornado in Western WA before!

My prayers are with you. Growing up in tornado alley. You never think it will happen to you.
Damage it does emotionally is horrible, let alone physically.
