Last night right before the thunder, our power flickered. Then the thunder hit. Yes- hit. One huge boom of thunder that probably lasted for near a minute. It literally rattled the house! I was inside sitting on the couch and I felt the shockwave all the way through my chest and my plants on my bookshelf were vibrating with it!
Nothing else happened! Just that one huge boom and then nothing! Crazy, huh? It did rain last night but nothing too much!

Alee, that's happened here before. It would just shake the whole house and the windows rattled. Really strange. I'm glad y'all were ok.

My husband thinks that a tree must have been hit by lightening somewhere close. He has only heard thunder that loud once before and that was when the tree outside his grandparents was hit. I have heard some good thunder in my life- but never this loud. It was crazy!

The power of nature is awesome! We get those huge boomers during our monsoon season, which HOPEFULLY will start in the next few weeks! We sure need the rain!
