Posted - Jan 06 2007 : 4:03:25 PM Hello from Altamont, NY, where we broke a record high temperature-it was 71!!!! The news had alot of stories about beekeepers having problems with the hives, plants blooming, and frogs out sunning themselves. Very strange...... Jennifer |

Posted - Jan 06 2007 : 10:25:00 PM It was REALLY cold here too. It was below 0 quite alot last night and 8 degrees when I fed animals this morning..but it did get up to about 20 later in the day. BRRRRR I could use a sunning on a rock sort of day too. I love winter..but can't seem to get my hands warm today!

Posted - Jan 06 2007 : 9:54:40 PM Well it was 6 degrees on the hillside here and we had to hire a plow to get my car out of the garage because of all the snow, I wouldn't mind sunning myself on a rock right now...... jo

Posted - Jan 06 2007 : 6:22:21 PM I heard DC had the cherry blossoms already. Very weird. On tv today they were saying it's a combo of elnino & global warming. I wont get on my soapbox about global warming but it is weird.

Posted - Jan 06 2007 : 5:44:22 PM Hi Jennifer:
On Long Island we have had spring like weather too. Maybe this is the Lord's way of preparing my husband and me for life in the South someday! :) Both of our children would like to live there someday, so who knows? (They are in college)
I have to say, going out at midnight to walk the dogs before bed is nice when I don't need a down coat. I have had years when I had to put on the down suit (for snowmobiling and skiing) to take the little walk into the woods with the dogs!
My bulbs are way up already. Hope they don't get too high and then get frozen!
