Will you be putting anymore of your things on here for us to look at and maybe buy? Or will you just be putting things on your site?

Thanks Miss Wilma, I'll try to get a copy of that magazine to see your doll. Ugly is my favorite! My mother in law saw some things I was making & told me "not everyone wants things that are all grubby & dirty looking". HA! Those people will probably be passing my things by! Somewhere here on the board there are a few pictures of my dolls. I'll see if I can find them for you.

I seem to be oblivious to "Who's Who" in the artsy/craftsy world. Husband says I am like a friendly dog that rubs up against everyone (Sounds bad doesn't it?)! LOL I just get talkin' & then find out later that person is "someone"! I recently went to a big show in Ohio with a "famous" friend...how funny to see the reactions when she introduced herself to people! People are just people wherever we go, aren't they?

Nancy the name of the book is Camps and Cottages, The pillows on the front cover are mine, then all thru the book the stripe ones are mine There are some yellow bark cloth floral ones in some chairs. My name wont be on the pages it will be on the sources page. There is a couple of pages about Becky Clark, I used to sell her gobs of pillows to when she had a shop The Water Lemon in Ketchum Idaho, I have found out since I have been on the forum that she has two sisters that are farm girls.Nancy there are lots of books and magazines out there with my work in them I just dont say any thing about it,I found out a long time ago if someone thinks you are making a lot of money a getting a name for yourself their going to jump on it, I like to do my own thing the only patterns I use are for sale on the market. I use very few of them because I can just take a piece of paper and whack something out. I look at a lot of beautiful things on the forums but I would never copy them.I have never had a lot of competion on pillows because not many people are going to work with feather pillows, another thing it is a lot of HARD work .Molly and Mary Jane are very dear to me I sell different type pillows to each of them. I sell my pillows in my shop but I dont do mail order , I dont mean to sound mean but I am very loyal to my stores. The doll is under a Christmas tree in a lady s house from TN.My dolls are more expensive than a lot of other doll makers but it takes a lot of time and money to put one together ,its nothing for me to put a 20.00 pair of shoes on a doll , It usually will take at least a hard week to put one of my big dolls together. They are ugly but who ever saw a cutie antique doll. Hope you can come see me soon Miss Wilma

Hey Miss Wilma...We REALLY need a phone chat! I saved your message on my voicemail-just haven't called cuz things have been crazy here, getting ready for Christmas (I've had the flu TWICE in recent weeks!). Anyway...I love Early American Life but haven't gotten it in...oh gosh...20 years? 'Cept for a big stack I bought at a sale last summer! Was your dolly in the Christmas 2007 issue? Let me know the date so I can look it up. I'd just love to see it. Don't think I've mentioned that I'm a dollmaker too. Just never got enough of them as a girl I guess! I do rag dolls, Columbians, and sculpted paper mache/cloth body-all in the primitive style.

I have a little booth in our local antique mall, mostly primitives but with a few "pretties". Way easier to let go of the fancy stuff! I'd sure like to see your place-things are always better in person!

I'm hoping to get down your way to visit Frannie sometime this winter. She mentioned having a little gathering a while back. So mayhaps we shall meet! I'm in the NW corner of Indiana about an hour & a half south of Chicago, still very rural, but people getting closer every day. Green County sure looks inviting!

Oh how I wish you could really see it, , I had some customers in this afternoon and they were really impressed because it was the real MCcoyI love primitives and early american but I dont want junk, I have one room that is 40s but I have it seperated from the other. I dont like frilly things with primitives. Do you get Early American Life? One of my dolls was in the Christmas issue.I am one of the old school on antiques, there arent many of us left, I see the new antiquers as we were 40 years ago, I did a lot of buiness with the old timers and tried to learn all I could,It paid off I have made a good living from it. The best lessons I learned were bought lessons. Good to talk to you hopefully you can come to my shop. Where do you live in In, I used to love to travel hwy 40 from Richmond In to Indi, those were the good old days Miss Wilma
