well dang! a friend and benefactor of the orphanage reeeeeeeeeely wants the gurlz .. soooooo .. it is with a sad heart i bid them farewell! (but ohhhhh . i do have lots of wonderful vintage children's clothing .. i bet i'll be makin' some more!!
OH YA-YA'S .. THESE WERE SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN TO CREATE! i've named them: SOFIA and ISABELLA .. they are having a lovely tea party on the lawn here at the orphanage!
These dollies would be great for your very own little ones to have a 'tea party' with! (or .. of course, ... 'the child in YOU'!
their tea table is set with a dainty floral cloth .. and they both have 'tussie mussie' bouquets picked fresh (well, o.k.! o.k.! they're 'plastique' .. but nevertheless .. lovely springtime flowers!
both Sofia and Isabella will be bringing with them their very own little child-sized vintage tea cups and tea pots (sans lids .. they make sweet little flower vases too .. when not pouring tea!)
INTRODUCING:
Sofia .. pretty in pink
Isabella .. beautiful in blue
Both little darlings are 'quite tall' .. they are wearing real vintage children's 'party dresses'
Isabella (or as she prefers to be called: 'BELLA') .. her pretty party frock is a soft sky blue .. with a fluffy collar edged in lace .. and for the tea party, she has tied a lovely lavendar ribbon around her neck. she has plucked a few of the flowers and tied them in her 'stitched' hair.
SOFIA (or her preferred name: SO-FEE (pronounced with a FRENCH accent, of course!) has a precious pink dress with a 'smocked' neckline. she has a pretty 'shell heart necklace' around her neck that is near and dear to her heart. So-fee has chosen to wear a lavendar bow in her hair

Due to the large size, and vintage dresses and antique china teasets .. these little ones can be adopted for $35. each (plus $7. train fare) ... or the girls can come together for only $60. (their travelling fee with be a tad extra .. it is believed that they can be sent for the 'one-price' PRIORITY train fare .. which is about $8.)

ohhhhhh .. it's official .. the gurlz wanna' stay at the orphanage!!
they love the 'warmth' of sitting on top of the 'dryer' .. (i almost always have something 'pretty' sitting on top of the washer and dryer .. sooo that when i walk into that little cubby of a 'room-ette' ... it makes me smile.
i'm sure they will have 'adventures' from time to time to report on!

THANKS .. i'm finding it very difficult to even dream of parting with these two little ladies. those 'girly' shades are out of character for me .. but oh my .. what fun for a tea party! oh .. i jus' had a thought .. i'm going to put them in my prissy 'laundry room' .. and see ef'fen they wanna' stay there for their tea parties .. and what fun for them to greet me when i have washing and ironing to do!

i think what i find most endearing about them is the 'opposite-ness' of their little prim faces and stitched hair .. and their prissy dresses. they jus' steal my heart with that combination.

thanks linda .. i jus' love them .. and am tempted to keep them here .. and take them to ohio from time to time for 'tea' with sofia! or for when i present one of my 'YESTERYEAR'S CHILDREN' HISTORICAL TEA PARTIES.
UNLESSSSS ... someone e-mails that they reeeeeeeely wants them .. then .. i'll jus' pull another vintage dress or two off the walls here and make some more!

oh .. and i only have about three 'completed' dolly bodies left .. soooo .. there will soon be a 'drip .. drip ... drip ...'
until i get more cut, sewn, turned, stained, sewn .. and ready to 'come alive'! i think i had between 20 and 30 bodies that i the bodies for while in OHIO my last trip. xo
