Since I am getting the flower shop, I will definitely be making/marketing soaps and such, and want a reputable supplier, so that my recipes are consistant. I looked into GloryBee which has some great products, but I wanted to ask your opinions since I am a new soapmaker. Cristine |

Posted - May 15 2008 : 7:44:30 PM I've used The Sage for a few things that I can't get anywhere else. I love Southern Soapers which is in your state of Virginia so the shipping would be a lot less. Kelly is a doll and have the best customer service. I have been trying to stay with suppliers closer to me to help save on shipping costs but some things I just can't get from local suppliers. Columbus Foods has the best prices if you buy in quantity but the shipping can be expensive.

Posted - May 14 2008 : 10:38:50 PM I used The Sage for many of my supplies when I was making soap. Mainly just additives and a few of their oils as they do have good quality raw materials. I never had a problem with them and their customer service was great when I used them. As for bulk oils and butters when I started making more soap, I used different companies because of shipping costs and the product costs. I used Oils by Nature and Columbus Foods for my bulk purchases. Hope this helps you some! :)
