Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

Posted - Jun 24 2008 : 6:34:05 PM They're absolutely worth it, Sherri. So pretty, and what little girls should look like! My niece, Ava, is probably a 4-5 T now...she's only 3 (will be 4 in December) but she's long legged and broad shouldered.

Posted - Jun 24 2008 : 1:26:08 PM I was just talking to my daughter the other day about how there has been a huge "glut" (for lack of a better word!) of boys being born lately! My oldest daughter has three boys, and all of my daughters friends have boys, no girls for any of them. I wonder if that's a cyclic trend. I know statistically the boys have a slight edge in numbers, at least in my circle of friends and relatives, girls are becoming extinct!! Those poor boys in about 16 years.......!

Posted - Jun 24 2008 : 12:06:22 PM They are really hard to price because of the patchwork. Moda fabric is really expensive, but you can't beat the quality and the results. I paid $9.99 a yard for the fabric, but only the body of the skirt and the straps are really measurable. The rest is patchwork and hard to determine the cost of. I ususally price my things 3X the cost of materials, 1/3 for materials, 1/3 for expenses (gas, price of the booth, show percentage, etc.) and 1/3 for labor, so I think $24 is right in there. This formula has worked out really well for me so far.

Posted - Jun 24 2008 : 12:01:20 PM Yeah, I need to find a little girl for one of these. My granddaughter is 12 going on 21, and my little nephews are the right age, but I think their Dad would have a problem if I tried giving them sundresses!
That sounds like a good price for them, or even two for $40, things like that.
