Those beautiful hankies make me think of the one that I have in my special keepsakes drawer. When I was small, it was one of my Gramma's. It is that soft fine cotton and has violets all over it. There were also hard candies in that blocky black purse. My grandma had the straightest back in the country. She wore a 'foundation garment' into her 90s. And made us grandkids 'silver dollar' pancakes. Thanks for bringing back a wonderful memory. Ardis Eckel

I just LOVE getting hankies in the mail! They are such a welcome surprise in a card, if I don't have hankies to put in a card I put in a tea bag...one of my best girlfriends is in Seattle and we will send one another a tea bag and then call and have a cup together- so sweet. Her daughter had a heart transplant two years ago at three weeks old and so we rarely hang out (our four kids must all be well and someone always managed to get a cold over the winter). I am sneaking her off to Leavenworth for a weekend later this summer as a treat- we can't wait to float down the river, shop and eat out without kids!!!

I also love to tie a hankie onto my purse handle to add a little flair- they look so cool and I am never without one.

That was the main gift given me when I graduated high school some 49 years ago. Money was tight and the gifts were easily shipped. I still have most of them. One was made of silk and one was made of (ugh) nylon. The rest were lovely cotton.

I will keep them forever.

Aren't they wonderful? I have a secret stash myself. I get funny looks sometimes, but I wouldn't give em up for nothing!
Yours are just beautiful! I know they'll be snatched up soon.
