Hi farmgirls! I have been busy on the ranch lately, milking again and caring fo goat kids. With all the good milk I'm getting, I also have been busy soapmaking

In three weeks I'll have my newest soap cured and ready to go- In the Raw Milk and Honey! Can't wait to use it myself! Raw milk and raw honey- what a great combo for skin.

But for now I have Kichen Farmhouse Scrub- perfect timing for gardeners and fisherman! This soap gently scrubs away grub with ground coffee and cloves, while eliminating odors. I love it! Because it's made with raw goat's milk, it's also really kind to your poor hands. This is my replacement for the popular "Grubby Guy" soap.

They are social, herd-bound animals, and won't thrive without at least one buddy, and my even die if alone. It doesn't take much room at all to keep a few goats, and with all the new miniature breeds it takes hardly any!

Hi Dalyn,

Oh your goats are sooooo.... cute. I have always wanted goats. When we get moved to our new place that's going to be top of the list. How much room does a goat take? Also I heard that you need to have two so they keep each other company.

Have a great day!

Oh yes, I have a herd name PROVERBS 31 and I invested in really good bloodlines in the beginning. I don't show though, haven't got the time, and have to admit I don't want the hassle of fying goat kids across the country, etc. so I haven't even sent in papers the last year on new kids. I need to do that soon though! *U*

I love breeding goats. Kidding season is like Christmas, it's full of good surprises, and I always hate to part with any babies, which is why I have tw odozen goats instead of a few that I need for milk. ugh! I plan on selling more than half this year. I just can't keep up the way I like to with that many.
YOu can see some of my goats on my goat blog: http://proverbs31nubians.blogspot.com/

Hey Dalyn, What a great idea!!! I have a nice shed in my back yard and maybe I could hide something in it..... miniature goats are so cute!!! I could put collars on them and stuff and walk them on leashes like dogs... LOL Oh, I wish I could. Were you not allowed to have chickens when you lived in the city???? I really should check our county laws and see what we are allowd to have.

Hey Dalyn, Do you have papers or know the bloodlines of your Nubians? I used to correspond with several herd owners in Washington and Oregon..will have to pull out my ADGA booklet to find their herd names..Do you have a registered herd name?

Enjoyed looking..

Hi Dalyn, I just visited your Hick Chicks Soap Barn - oh my goodness, I love home-made soaps!!! Especially those made of goats milk. I will be ordering very very soon! I'm an urban Farmgirl, and I wish I was allowed to get some little goats. I have a huge back yard and they would have plenty of room.... oh well. Still dreaming of my own little farm.....

Oh yes!! they were my girls..ya know what I mean?..yes, you know When you milk twice a day and bottle feed all the kids you become a goat-lady...isn't that right?

I hope to have a few again in a couple of years when we buy our next property.

Here's a link to a few pictures of my past goat herd..I've got more pictures..just need to get a bunch of editing done
http://www.dreamkingdomdesigns.com/farmgirl.html

So I guess when you keep a photo album of your past goats..you must be bitten by the milkgoat bug..LOL

Please send me a reminder in case you don't see me ordering when you post it.
