Posted - Dec 23 2005 : 4:14:21 PM Hey Farmgirls,
I finally have a few farmgirl aprons listed in the store. I have several more cut out, too, so keep checking. I have a TON of fabric here, so if you see a style you like, but want a different color, just ask!

Posted - Feb 14 2006 : 11:20:53 AM Thanks! It's really pretty. I still have it on my dress form because I like looking at it! I have a bit more of that fabric, so I'll probably do another one with different color binding--maybe blue this time.

Posted - Jan 25 2006 : 12:15:08 PM Well, my baby is a week old today, and I'm starting to recover a bit of my sleep. So to celebrate, I've done a bit of sewing, and listed a few new items in my store, including a MaryJane's Farm Harvest apron. Please check it out at the link below!

Posted - Jan 18 2006 : 11:31:49 AM Annie- I forgot to mention that today is my 1 year anniversary, so the scarf came at the perfect time! I'm wearing it today with an offwhite wool sweater, jeans, a cashmere hat and pigtails...in honor of the occassion! My DH and I both have to work 12 hour days today, so the scarf is my own little celebration. When it came last night, DH said "What's that?! It's really pretty!" and I said "It's my anniversary present!" I posted it on my blog, but forgot to link to your address...I'll add it later today! J

Posted - Jan 17 2006 : 7:04:02 PM Thanks for my scarf, Annie! I absolutely love it! I haven't taken it off since I got home (which was 3 and a half hours ago!) My cats are going wild for their new mice! I've tried to capture it on film, but they keep flinging them in the air too fast! Tried to post a photo but it won't work....here's the link! http://flickr.com/photos/schoolstreet/ http://schoolstreet.typepad.com www.jac.etsy.com |

Posted - Jan 13 2006 : 08:30:54 AM Judes, Thank you! I answered your mouse question thru Etsy, but I'll answer again here: No, the mice in my store aren't handspun, but YES, I can make you some handspun mice for the same price, and stuff them with greasy fleece, too. They don't take long, so I could get them in your package today, if I hear from you this morning. :)
Yours, Annie

Posted - Dec 24 2005 : 09:45:49 AM Thanks for the compliments, gals! I'm having a lot of fun designing new stuff. This spring, especially, I'll be working on new designs, since I'll have the new baby slowing me down with the actual production. My daughter, who is almost two, lovest to tell me what yarns and fabrics are the softest. I spent yesterday working on a toddler jacket, and I couldn't keep her away from the yarn. "Sot! Sot!" she says as she rubs things against her cheek.
My dad is doing great! He was the model patient at the hospital, and he thinks he'll be completely weaned off the heavy duty pain meds by the New Year. He still has some pretty rough days, especially in the mornings when he hasn't been moving around a lot. He has to warm up in front of the woodstove like a lizard, he says. :) By the way, if you'd like to read his take on the surgery and his recovery, he's keeping a log at the BHM website here, http://www.backwoodshome.com/dview.html#surgery
