Posted - Jul 31 2006 : 10:11:36 AM Last Day!!! Just a friendly reminder!!
I am SO happy to report my mom is doing very well these days. She is by no means well, and may never be again but she is up and about (with a walker) and even cooked for herself yesterday! This may seem like a small thing but it is NOT. It is great!!! So...I am getting back to work. All wholesale orders will be out this next week - nothing short of a miracle! And I am ready and able to take retail orders as well...in fact I would LOVE to!!! AND...to kick of my "back to work" and also "back to school" for those going back this month...a FREE shipping special for all orders $20 and up. There are some new soap scents...and new lip flavors so check them out. Also, the kitchen pages are up. Granola, teas, coffee, aprons and gourmet popcorn! Thanks so much for your patience and support. And I know you all understand how family must come first. It's good to be back to work!

Posted - Aug 11 2006 : 4:32:14 PM Susan, my box came today! I am so excited, I took time going thru the 1lb bargain bag, trying to guess what scents they all were! And, by the way, that you for the *several* surprises in my bag! I am positive I got way more than I paid for! I am now a big fan of the Farmgirl clean too! And the lemongrass. I love love love the lip moisturizer, and the lotion bars....My skin is so sensitive, and I am so allergy prone, I haven't had anything good smelling for a long, long time. Thanks for crafting such great, natural, good smelling products. Sister, I believe!! Love to you, Soap Maven Kate

Posted - Aug 08 2006 : 1:44:45 PM Oh, yes, Susan...that sounds very interesting! I don't even know what a "after bath dry oil spray" is, but if it is the "FarmGirl Clean" scent, I AM IN! Email me if you decide to try that, okay?

Posted - Aug 08 2006 : 11:46:32 AM Rebekah,
Me too!!! FarmGirl Clean is the best. I love it. I have to confess that I bought some for my friends, but I kept it. So - I guess I'd better order more. The lip balm is wonderful too. I agree about perfume. I was thinking about FarmGirl Clean body lotion.

Posted - Aug 08 2006 : 08:15:29 AM Gotta tell y'all. Susan's soaps are the best! I can't live without the soap bars and the bath salts! For those who are just trying them...oh my gosh! You are going to love it. For any one who is just thinking about trying them...do yourself a favor. You'll never buy grocery store soap again. The "FarmGirl Clean" is my all-time favorite scent. (Wish you could figure out how to make some perfume with that, Susan.) Just had to share!

Posted - Aug 06 2006 : 7:26:50 PM Kate- you are going to love, love, love Susan's soaps!!! I bought some to give as gifts (and some for me) and now wish that I were the selfish kind and kept it all for myself! hee hee. They smell so wonderful and fresh and make your skin feel totally "fabu" ( My kids hate that word, so I use it as often as I can!! Next batch I order goes right in the airing closet as my secret stash.
Susan- I am so glad to hear your mom is doing better. She is very lucky to have such a wonderful daughter!

Posted - Aug 06 2006 : 4:37:52 PM Susan~ I wasn't sure what it was either, but I bought a book about ingredients and what they do....I guess propylene glycol is antifreeze!!! Lanolin is not a problem for me. Can't wait to use "real" soap. I am certain that once I use the true stuff I will never go back to Ivory again... Thanks again. Kate ps..can you recommend a good book about soap making?

Posted - Aug 06 2006 : 4:12:19 PM none of that stuff!!! I am not sure what it is even. The ingredients are all "occuring in nature"!! Do note that the Old Man Winter contains lanolin...so if you have a wool allergy it would be a no-no. Got your payment...packing it tomorrow and then out the door! Thanks so much!!

Posted - Aug 06 2006 : 4:03:50 PM Susan, I couldn't figure out how to add a message onto the paypal dealie....so, here goes. I would like the French Lavender and Old Man Winter...I have extra dry, sensitive skin. Oh, I better make sure...You don't use propylene glycol do you?? I think I have tracked down the stuff I am allergic to and that's a big one. I was trying to clear up my hives and itchy rash by using unscented dove, yeah, it's full of propylene glycol! And it is the soap the dr.s all prescribe! So, now I am just using Ivory, but I can't wait to get my order!!! Thanks for everything. Kate |

Posted - Aug 03 2006 : 07:21:08 AM Well I am actually adding them back this weekend. You know I am just working my tail off to keep stocked and you all are so generous with me! Please write something up and send it to me at my new email address thesoapmaven@gmail.com and I will add it to the page. You should still be able to get the free shipping if you order this weekend! I dont know about the laundry powder. I have had a hard time with my formulation - I dont know what is different unless the ingredients I am buying are different. But until I am 100% happy with it...it wont be on the website. I hope you understand. Also...make me some suggetions if you can think that far ahead on what you would like to see for the holidays...I know it is early but I have to start thinking of it NOW!!!

Posted - Aug 01 2006 : 10:22:35 AM Yeah, Susan!! So glad to hear such good reports for your mom. Continued blessings of healing for her and yourself. Those are no mere small steps of progress, how good that must feel for your mom to be able to do things for herself again.
And I'm loving the soap that I ordered and the lip balm. Use it most everyday. So I'm glad to hear also that you are back up and running. Not ready for any replacements just yet, but know where to go when I am - without a question. Keep up the terrific work and I can't wait to see all the new things you have added - who says I only need replacement soap. ;o)
I hope you all are doing okay with the heat and anyone else who is under this huge heat bubble. Take care and God bless all that you are doing.
