Posted - Aug 30 2006 : 4:17:02 PM Hello ladies, I wonder, do any of the farmgirls out there produce cultured vegetables for sale to ship? I am very interested in creating my own and have purchased the Harsch crock, a tamper, the cabbage slicer & culture starter, but I'm determined to wait for my local CSA to harvest organic produce before I make my first batch, so I'm looking for alternatives till that time. (next year we plan to have our own veggie garden in) I am aware of two or more websites where cultured veggies are available for sale, but I wanted to start here first. Thank you for the favor of a reply. Kind regards, Master Gardener

Posted - Sep 07 2006 : 06:33:45 AM Thanks Libbie, I appreciate the encouragement. I am looking forward to my first attempt batch of veggies. It seems like such a back-to-basics & therapeutic activity. I'll update with results in 6 or 8 weeks. MasterGardener

Posted - Sep 05 2006 : 12:09:34 PM I just love fermented/cultured veggies! I don't make them to sell or anything like that, but I can see why you're interested! I think making your own will be such fun - until then, best luck and wishes finding a source...
XOXO, Libbie
