Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 06:49:55 AM This is about the time of year I begin my craft shows rhendezvous and I was wondering if any of you farm girls in Ky., Tenn., Ga., Ala., Ind., Ill., Mo., area have some good shows in your hometowns or nearby. I am always looking for good shows to replace the ones that weren't so great. I appreciate any help you can throw my way. Kathy

Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 08:35:27 AM Okay, I only found this information about the 2006 shows (there are 2 the same weekend), but one has a contact number. Also, there is the huge (the entire historic downtown region) Jour de Fete (sp?) in Ste. Genevieve in early August. I do go to that every year and it's wonderful and there are always tons of people there, but it's outside.
Here's what I found:
November 17th-18th
- River Valley Craft Fair Held at the A.C. Brase Arena Building and the Plaza Conference Center on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. This craft fair features handcrafted items only. Admission is $1.50 per location.
November 17th-18th
- 36th Annual Christmas Arts & Crafts Extravaganza This event will feature over 300 high quality crafters at the Osage Community Centre and Show Me Center. Saturday from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission is $3.00 and is good for both locations. For more information call 573-334-9233.
**If you decided you want to do both shows, I'd be willing to work one of the places for you. From what I've heard from ladies who go to these religiously, the location at the Plaza Conference Center isn't as heavily attended; the other 3 places draw huge crowds both days.
Oops, I forgot to tell you where this is. Cape Girardeau, about 105 miles south of St. Louis and about 2 1/2 hours north of Memphis, right on I-55.

Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 08:26:12 AM Kathy, our town has a huge weekend craft show in the Fall, I know. It's huge and is held at more than one location -- the community center and at the huge basketball stadium at the University there. There used to be a Spring craft show, but I don't know if they do that anymore or not. I sort of got away from going to craft shows a few years ago. Inside crowds are not my thing at all.
Anyway, I'll try to find a link and post it.
