Posted - Jan 23 2008 : 05:42:31 AM I am having a really tough time having my period this month. We are trying for a baby and didn't make the cut this month (I was pretty sure we didn't...we hit the tail end of ovulation, grr).
So I am having a hard time with it I think because I don't want to have it, and so I am in more pain than usual (I usually get a little crampy on the first day and that's about it,) I bled all over myself this morning (which doesn't usually happen) and yesterday while we were out and I have been in just a total dismal mood since the 21st because I am bleeding. Ugh.
See, just writing this seems trivial, but it's really a big deal for us. Menopause starts early in my family and I have very little time left to have another baby and this is VERY wanted by both of us.
ugh.

Posted - Jan 23 2008 : 12:51:39 PM Hey Tasha-- thinking about you. I know how much you want this and maybe your body needs a break still. I don't know, but I do know what it's like to be miserable with it. This will happen for you both, I know it.

Posted - Jan 23 2008 : 12:32:15 PM Tasha, I'm sorry too. I'm in the same boat. I was nearly 3 weeks late but was disappointed on the 13th of this month. I had a hard time this month as well, heavier flow and more pain than usual. Also I was more emotional than normal.
Tricia, I'm 43 and still hoping each month. We don't have children yet and I realize my time is running out as far as getting pregnant. I'm hoping and wishing the best for all of us this upcoming month. Wouldn't that be great if we all were lucky?!

Posted - Jan 23 2008 : 08:01:07 AM Just Hugs, Tasha, I know how hard this is. Take a deep grounding breath or three and embrace your period and let it happen. I will ask the powers divine for a baby, healthy and beautiful for you. Discouragement and sadness and frustration are all natural at this point. Don't give up A warm rice pack will help with the cramping to some degree. Blessings

Posted - Jan 23 2008 : 06:38:41 AM Tasha, being on the emotional rollercoaster of wanting and trying for a baby is never easy. And having your moontime during this period is certainly not what you wanted. I know it breaks your heart after losing a bahbee to have the universe deny you at your first attempt to have another. *hugs* You know your next baby is in there waiting to be born. Maybe she is just "in line" and the universe knew that. *hugs* Just visualize your body cleaning itself and making a nice thick and cushy lining in your uterus for the bahbee to come and land and STICK! :D
I will be thinking extra Sticky thoughts for you this next month!
