Posted - Jan 06 2009 : 06:49:31 AM My son called me this morning at 5 am from Children's Hospital in Denver CO. Baby Charles has been diagnosed with bronchiolis. Thats an inflamation of the bronchioli (tiny air ways in his lungs) which can later lead to asthma. Our Charlie is only 10 weeks old. I understand this is sometimes common in infants but My son sounded a bit rattles as any new daddy would. He said that Charlie was being admitted this morning for further observation. He developed a cough two days ago. This different from Bronchiatis I was informed.. My son & his first child ( now 20) had a similar problem with asthma so I pray this not going to develope into that. Please keep Charlie in your thoughts as well as his parents, Thank you. Cheryl

Posted - Jan 07 2009 : 4:37:40 PM What a relief he's off the oxygen. Good news. He sounds like a strong little fighter. Babies are so sweet and it just breaks my heart when they are sick.
So glad to hear he's getting better every day. He'll be back home soon.
