Many of you are newer to the forum, and Jessie hasn't been on in a bit, but I still "speak" to her via facebook. She is Miss Wilma's niece, for those of you familiar with Miss Wilma...

Jessie's husband's sister (her sil), a nurse in London, Kentucky, who was pregnant with twins, fell ill on Friday while attending her smallest boy's preschool graduation. On Saturday, she went to the hospital to have someone give her a quick examination and they discovered she was gravely ill, and did an immediate c-section at 32 weeks. The twins were airlifted to UK Medical center, and later, so was their mother, but sadly, she never woke up from the c-section and was found to have died from bacterial meningitis. She never got to hold her little ones, never saw their faces.

Naturally, this is just a total shock and such a terribly sad situation for all of the family, but especially the two boys, the husband, and now these twins, a boy and girl, who will never know their momma. Please think of Jessie and her husband's side of the family tonight.

How awful!!!! I cannot even imagine what that poor family is going through. To lose a wife and mother at such a young age. My heart just aches.
Prayers will definitely be sent their way. Those poor children.

OH Jonni! I just saw this! Why do things like this happen?
I was thinking of Jesie the other day. She is such a sweetheart.
Please tell her via Facebook for me that I miss her & am praying for her whole family.

Girls, this has just "sat" in my head since I heard about it from Jessie...I keep wondering "why" and I look at my little one, my life and wonder why I'm so lucky. I awoke at 4:50 this morning, and this was the first thing in my head on this grey, stormy day. It's just terrible, but perhaps our combined prayers with help this family to be stronger as each day goes on.
