My good friend's sister's house burned down yesterday morning. She has two young boys and thank God no one was at home. Though they did manage to salvage a few things, for the most part it was a complete loss. I took them toiletries and some clothes this afternoon. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers; they really need them right now.

I spoke with my friend yesterday, and she said that right now, her sister is just trying to come up with a plan. She really would like to move back out on her land, so hopefully she can find a mobile home that they can put a down payment on or something like that.
Lots of people have offered help here and I really think that things will come together for her.

Hi Karla,
I know that as of yesterday, my friend said they needed basic toiletries and clothes. I got some outfits for the kids (they are 3 and 4), as well as shampoo, toothbrushes/toothpaste, deoderant, and some hair bands (her sister has to put up her hair for work). Yesterday, her mother took her to get groceries and I heard that her employer (she is a waitress @ Chili's) was putting together some things for her. So, I think things are slowly coming together, but I don't know what they need specifically. I do know that the kids really miss their cardboard box playhouse. Isn't that so sad? I am going to try and find them a refrigerator box or something.
She is going to stay w/ her mom for the moment, too, so they also have a temporary place to stay.
