Posted - Jan 17 2011 : 04:05:23 AM Just wanted to give you all a quick update. We are still going to the gym. If fact, we got up at 4:30am today. My kids are starting to get up and go with us on some days, and go with us on weekends. We did get the car running, so that was a relief. My husband keeps thanking me for getting up and going to the gym with him. Truth be told, we both needed to be doing it. He lost 4 lbs. last week and I lost 4 1/2 lbs. We cannot afford a counselor, as raising a large family is very expensive. Especially, when two are driving and need jobs and cars and so forth. I have contacted a church pastor and we may very well go in and talk some things out. I do appreciate all of your prayers, kind words, and advice.

Posted - Jan 15 2011 : 06:29:37 AM Hi Kristina,
You are right that all the pressures of life show the potential stress fractures in a marriage. You have my prayers in that hopefully you are able to find a counselor who can assist you in working through the pressures in your marriage to make it stronger.

Posted - Jan 15 2011 : 04:34:57 AM Thank you for your prayers. The stress of every day life, finances and a lot of trials around here doesn't help. My husband just started an all day Sat. class at a college (pd for by work) and his car won't start. We are down to one car. My son uses it for his job too. Please help me pray he can fix the car that is not working and for continued overall prayers.

Posted - Jan 10 2011 : 04:52:55 AM My husband and I went again today at 5am. A few of the kids want me to get them up tomorrow to go too now. It is nice to have my laundry out on the line so early too. LOL! A few kiddos are walking around groaning from soreness.

Posted - Jan 09 2011 : 5:13:11 PM Kristina, that sounds like a good thing to do together. Work out your frustrations! That always helps. Plus then you're just too tired to argue. So good for y'all. Keep it up. I wish I could find a place close that's that cheap. I am so glad you all had a good weekend.

Posted - Jan 09 2011 : 08:12:05 AM My hubby already had an individual membership so all we have to do is pay the extra $ for the family rate, but we don't have to pay it until Feb. 1st. We are allowed (the rest of us) to visit the gym as guests. We are going again today when it opens.

Posted - Jan 08 2011 : 1:27:59 PM Thank you all for your prayers, kind words and e-mails. I went to the gym with my husband and two of the kids today. We workout for almost 2 hours. To be honest, it felt good physically and mentally. We all need to lose weight and we actually did something together without arguing. I have never been to the gym, but the cost is only $25.00/month for our entire family. It's run by our school, and is in an old school they don't use for school classes anymore. Anyway, I wanted to let you all know we had a day without strife. And I am sure we will have no trouble falling asleep.
