Hi ladies!

Well, recovery is coming along nicely. Mom was here for surgery and the day after. She took Nora to Wyoming with her for yesterday and today and Nora comes home tomorrow afternoon. I haven't had much to eat since Monday evening, but tonight I had some MJF Bare Burrito a little more watered down than normal and it was Perfect! It tasted so good and filled my tummy up. I am not choking on my pills anymore so I think the swelling is starting to go down. I am running 2 humidifiers in my room constantly, and luckily it has been raining all weel so the ambient humidity is pretty high too. I have been downing tons of water and a little ginger ale. All told if I am not sleeping I am sipping away at a tall glass of water.

I am pretty exhausted still. I sleep a lot. I am surprised at how much energy this has taken out of me. I know some of it is sedation from the pain pills but I was not prepared for being so tired. Luckily the pain has been manageable.

The doctor called today to tell me the pathology of my tonsils came in. It shows that I had a chronic infection of the tonsils that was active at the time of surgery. I am so glad those things are gone!

Anyway- your conintued positive thoughts and prayers are so greatly appreciated. I love you all and am so thankful to have such wonderful people in my life.

Love-

Alee

Hi Ladies!

Tomorrow afternoon my tonsils and I are going to be parting company. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I have a long recovery ahead of me. I am expecting be on leave from work for about 3 weeks. I am just ready for this to be over and done with! I am so worn out from being sick all the time.

Mom is coming up to help me with Nora and then Nora is going to spend a couple day at my mom's house in Wyoming.

Alee, I am so glad you are recovering so well. You'll be so glad you did this soon. Not now but soon. Take it easy though.

Oh Nini. You are too funny. Unfortunately I haven't really lost much weight which is weird. But if I feel better after recovery I am going to direct some of that energy into getting in shape :)

Thank you Mara! I appreciate the love and support! I am feeling a bit "rougher" today. I have been sleeping a lot and feel a bit muzzy headed. Doug made me soup and I ate quite a bit- which in turn upset my stomach since I am not really used to food anymore- All I have had since Monday night was a few quick bites of chicken and a strawberry milkshake. Everything else has been liquids. I tried eatting Jello and pudding and my body just did not like those ideas at all.

You're in my thoughts, Alee. Please don't feel even a teensy bit guilty for taking the rest you need. Just think how lovely it will be when you get to your happy newer normal :-)

Thank you ladies! I am on my second full day of recovery. I am trying to stay hydrated but it hard to want to keep swallowing. After certain point it hurts less so I am trying to break through that point and stay there. I do get tired a lot and the doctor said I was quite run down. He said I had a constant infection to the point where I did not even notice it anymore. He said that had become my new normal which isn't good. I am so glad those things are out. I can already tell that once everything is all healed my life is going to be much better for it. I am tired of wasting all my time being sick!

But I am dearly loving this time at home too! I need all this rest and I don't feel too guilty in taking it! LOL :)

Thank you very much everyone! The good thoughts and prayers mean the world to me. I am feeling pretty good today all things considered. I have quite a bit of swelling that is making my pills hard to swallow, but other than that I am just very sleepy and ready to take advantage of the rest everyone is offering me.

Hi Alee,

I know you might not feel up to reading this but if you need anything please let me know. I will be out of the area this weekend but could drop by and bring you anything you need. I know how draining surgery can be. I believe I sent you my phone number through email just last month.

I wish you well and a fast recovery.

Please let us know how you are doing.

Thank you ladies! I am nervous but deciding to just go with the flow. I will put myself in the surgeon's hands and fretting isn't going to do one thing except get my adrenaline pumping. I say that now before I go in- but I think all will be good.
