I hate to be cryptic, but I'm sure you will all understand once you read the entire message. I used to be a farmgirl and have been gone a few years (long story and long road, but that's for a different time), but I've stayed in contact with another farmgirl or two. Anyway, I just wanted to ask for prayer for one of those dear ladies. The cryptic part is that I don't feel comfortable sharing her name without her permission, and it's very difficult to get that now. So anyway, here's the info I *can* give.

This farmgirl has been facing a tough physical issue for several years now, and things have progressed to the point that she is rarely able to even write emails. She shared in her most recent email that she is now very fatigued and is bedridden except for a few hours in the morning (when she's refreshed from the night's sleep, I guess) and an hour or so after supper. Her physical capabilities have become increasingly limited, to the point that she is pretty much only able to eat and drink.

This lady (and she is a true lady) has been a gentle, gracious email friend for a few years now, and I know that she is at peace with her situation and prognosis. I also know her faith in God is very strong, and I'm sure she would appreciate your prayers.

I ask that if you do think you know who I'm referring to that you NOT post her name or anything like that in the thread or that, if you have her email, that you do not email her. She shared with me that she has limited strength even for reading email and has to pace herself. I want to respect her privacy and know you will understand. Thank you so much.

Hugs and prayers. What a wonderful friend and confidant you are, Patti.

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

For the unnamed farmgirl, we ask for the Lord's blessings and healing and we also thank God for a true friend like Patti who is willing to share this info for her friend. May you too bless her Lord.
