Posted - May 30 2011 : 6:38:05 PM Hi everyone -
Please say prayers for my DH's Aunt Nancy... She is THE most beloved aunt of all. She is in her 80's, has suffered with MS for many, many years but is still the apple of ALL of the family's eyes. She has been residing with my DH's cousin - her son - for the past couple of years, and suddenly decided to go to see her other son in West Virginia for the Memorial Day holiday - about two hours away. She became ill yesterday and is now in the hospital with pneumonia. She is not expected to survive the night. My DH's cousin and his sister who also lives in PA are on their way to see her right now. Please pray for a miracle healing, because we all just love her and can't imagine life without her. But, should it be the Lord's will that she make the journey home, please pray that her beloved Lord and Saviour be there to grant her comfort and peace during the transition. Please also pray for my DH's two cousins to get there in time to say their goodbyes, for their brother with whom she is visiting, and for all of her loved ones. We just love her so much. She is one of the greats.
Thanks so much for your support and prayers - hugs to you all -
Nini

Posted - Jun 12 2011 : 08:57:50 AM HI Annika! Hi Debbie!
Thanks SO much for your continued prayers!!!
Well, my husband spoke with his cousin last night. He's driving out to pick her up today, and then once she settles in and is feeling up to company, we'll be going right over to hug her and celebrate! My husband and his cousin work together, and their company's office is only a few blocks away from his cousin's house (she lives with his family), so I'm pretty sure that my DH will be going to see her tomorrow after work - he's not going to be able to be so nearby and resist a pop-in. He actually wanted to ride out with his cousin to pick her up today, but we've got so many little things here at home that are suddenly falling apart and need his attention, so he thought better of it. I can't wait, though! I'm just SO relieved and happy that she's okay and will be coming home! :) Hugs - Nini

Posted - Jun 11 2011 : 09:07:28 AM Hi girls!
Another GREAT update! My husband's aunt was able to get up out of bed for a little while on Thursday and no longer needs the oxygen! If all goes well, she'll be released and able to return to her home here in PA on Monday or Tuesday! We are all SO very excited and happy! Her son was deeply moved to hear that everyone was praying for her. In a text this morning, he said to make sure we extend his thanks to everyone, your prayers have meant everything. The prayers not only reached God's ears, but they prompted her truly miraculous healing! :) So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, girls, for your prayers. God IS good - He's amazing! I just love Him! And I'm so grateful for you and all of our farmgirl sisters. We truly are blessed to have each other, indeed!!! :)
Happy Weekend!

Posted - May 31 2011 : 7:40:01 PM Thank you so much, girls - your prayers mean everything, truly. Aunt Nancy is one remarkable lady. If you knew her, you'd adore her just as much as we do!
We received a little bit of good news a little while ago from my husband's cousin via text. Praise and thank God - our prayers are being answered! He said she is showing some improvements today. She is taking some breaths on her own, her blood pressure is stabilizing, and she is only on one medication now instead of three. Her oxygen saturation is good, she is more aware and has been smiling at them. He says they hope for continued progress tomorrow, and asks that we all please keep those prayers coming. :)
Thank you so much, SO much! I'll keep you posted, I promise.
Hugs -

What a shock. I am so sorry and will be praying that it would be the Lord's will to heal her. I am also praying for peace, comfort and strength for the family. I hope that the family will have opportunity to see her before she passes.
I am praying for the Lord to grant you peace Nini and comfort.

Posted - May 30 2011 : 10:19:52 PM Thank you, girls. I really, really appreciate your prayers. She is one special lady who simply lives for her God and her family, and every single one of us is profoundly blessed by her presence. She lavishes us with her love, she covers us in her prayers; she generously - and gently - imparts her motherly wisdom; she inspires us through her faith both in word and in deed; she encourages us to be all we can be; and she absolutely delights and tickles our hearts with her laughter. She is just one of those earth angels sent from above who simply lights up our lives. I do believe that when she passes, the heavens will suddenly be a lot brighter, too. :)
