Posted - Jul 29 2011 : 11:59:26 AM We are going to be moving. I am glad as we are moving out and won't be living with family. But it is into an apartment. Something I never thought I would do. I am still dreaming of a farm. This has kind of bummed me out a little.

Posted - Aug 16 2011 : 07:24:28 AM Praying for you Amy! I know it's hard, I have been waiting a LONG time too. But hang in there! I am learning to be content where the Lord has me and to focus on Him. I have vegetables in pots too, and try to make my home look farmish/country. I even took a picture of a cow from a magazine and have it framed in my home :)
It is a state of mind and you can utilize this time creating a book of ideas for when the time comes. I say focus on the good, it's good to know that you will have YOUR OWN place and NOT be staying with family. I think that will help alot :)

Posted - Aug 15 2011 : 6:53:37 PM Amy, when we had to stay in an apartment I just kept myself busy planting anything I could in pots on the balconies. Herbs, flowers, you name it, drove my husband nuts :) I also kept up with the sewing and crafting, the things I love. Never give up on your dream home. It took us 2 years to find our land, but it was worth the wait. Praying for you from Florida, it will all work out. Like Darlene said above, your new apartment can be your home and farm, I think it is a state of mind that never leaves you!

Posted - Aug 03 2011 : 2:00:23 PM Amy, I pray that someday, you will get your farm. But like others have said before, farmgirl is a state of mind, and you have the kind, loving farmgirl state of mind. Keep working towards your farm:-) God's and Farmgirl's Blessings, Megan

Posted - Aug 03 2011 : 05:39:14 AM Amy - well these farmgirls have already taken what I wanted to say...but they are right! We're all rooting for you to make it to your farm someday, and we're praying that you find peace in the "in-between". Don't give up on your dream, this is just a little detour. :)

Posted - Jul 29 2011 : 9:09:20 PM Amy I will send prayers that your new adventure will get you ready for the dream that is not that far off. I am presently thinking of selling my farm and so I am sending prayers into the heavens that the right folks will have been dreaming of an organic farm 35 acres with a log and stone home with all the love I could give it for 15 years - so see everyone's dreams are in the works and your's will come true - mine did when I found this place all those years ago. Keep dreaming, planning and learning so when that farm comes you will be ready. Love, Light and Dreams to you.

Posted - Jul 29 2011 : 3:01:01 PM I've been waiting, too, on my farm. I also live in an apartment but you know what? For now, at this moment, THIS is my home---this is what I make of it. Farm, it is. I have my container vegetables and flowers on my small back porch, I have my sewing, knitting, and crocheting, and I have this wonderful chatroom to encourage me.
Make your new apartment your home, your farm. Get your subscription in for MJF magazine, have a rocking chair in your new place, and you'll be off to a good start.
Good luck and I'll be praying for good things coming your way! Darlene
