Posted - Feb 08 2012 : 05:39:34 AM The economy has thrown everyone for a loop. Portia is having trouble finding the right place because of her experience ... my daughter is having trouble finding the right place because of her inexperience. She is fairly new to the business world with a bachelors and masters, but little practical experience in her chosen field. With so many people looking there always seems to be someone who has done the job before with lots of experience and contacts! She has been working, just not regularly and not in her field. She just needs that first chance... please keep her in your thoughts that she gets that one open door. I know she would work so hard to do the best job ever!

Posted - Feb 14 2012 : 9:16:13 PM I'm saying prayers for your daughter, Marianne.
I know the job market is tough right now. Coming from someone who was blessed with some terrific jobs and a zillion interviews...I remember getting down about not getting a certain job..and lo and behold their was the perfect one right around the corner.

Posted - Feb 14 2012 : 06:45:20 AM Thanks everyone. She got a "No." Two phone interviews, four management personnel interviews, a week of biting her nails and finally my daughter had to call the personnel manager, who didn't answer her phone. The woman sent my daughter an email saying the position went to someone else.
Maybe next time...
