Posted - Jul 03 2010 : 06:02:10 AM A few years back I bought an oversized chair and put it in my library (extra bedroom). I love being able to curl up in it, but I had been so busy and gone with work I hadn't sat in it much. The cats decided they like it and I often find one of them curled there. This summer I have had a bit more time so I grab a book and go to read. My eldest cat Autumn thinks this is great and she comes up with me every time purring like a motor that won't stop. Yesterday she did that and it just hit me how good life is. The simplest things mean the most.
----I'm going through withdrawals!! My library is torn apart as I am replacing the carpet and painting. The chair is covered in plastic as I have no where else to put it right now. I think the cat misses it as much as I do. |

Posted - Jul 23 2010 : 10:44:06 PM With me it's a book about gardening or canning or farm life, my big patio chair that now sits in the living room, and my 20 month old little girl. She loves to sit on mommys lap and be read to, even if she doesn't understand it. As long as there are lots of silly voices invovled she will sit still and listen, even to 'Root Cellaring'! LOL!

Posted - Jul 12 2010 : 10:15:41 PM for me it's not a big comfy chair it's any chair (mostly the one from IKEA) and instead of tea (inless it's good ole' southern sweet tea) it's a must for it to be coffee! :)

Posted - Jul 12 2010 : 9:48:11 PM Laura: You got it right! A book, a comfortable chair, and a purring cat. Well, for me, life couldn't be better. Well, maybe two or three cats purring. Marly
