When I was in the 7th grade I checked out a book from the library. Can't remember its name; but it was set in WWII Germany or near by and it was about orphans who found a railroad car or caboose in the woods and made into a home. Anybody have any idees? thnx

Posted - Sep 14 2011 : 10:28:54 PM That definitely sounds like the Box Car kids to me too. Loved that book as a 2nd grader but the funny thing was when I had kids of my own and they were young I got it at the library to read to them and was so disappointed. It played much better in my memory.

Posted - Sep 14 2011 : 7:23:51 PM I think it is boxcar kids but it is not set in WWII era. They are mystery type books and my students love them.
