Posted - Jul 11 2012 : 4:00:46 PM BRENDA Thank youfor the precious precious Dotee.
She has red hair.. a fiery lass ! And sports a genuine Americana red, white and blue dress. A sweet little demure smile on her face. And a lovely Flag Day sentiment with a scotty dog came too.
I am trying to see if I can scan her to post her picture. I think she is now hanging out with my new Dottee swap doll. If I can get the scan to work, you all will be able to "ooh and ahhh" over my new Star Spangled Dotte girl !!
Thanks again Brenda.. She is precious.. Mary Jane

Posted - Jun 29 2012 : 04:52:29 AM Thank you, Darlene...so I guess I have to stop using the felt because I bought fabric markers! If you look up 'Dotee Dolls' on uTube there are all kinds of different faces for them and videos on how to make them...that's where I learned to make them....thank you, again, helping me!

Posted - Jun 28 2012 : 9:36:37 PM I tried felt and it smeared I use the white lining material and it is easier to draw on. I can't remember the correct name for it it give the material body but I can draw on it or embroider on it,I am happier with that but would like to do new things for the faces also. I love it no matter what though.

Are you or your husband in the Air Force? I can't quite imagine what an Air Force tree look like. Is there emblems and medals on it? I am so curious....
I am very happy with Sunny...he is so happy looking! He is hanging on my mantel until I get him a buddy then they will go in my craft/ sewing room!

Posted - Jun 20 2012 : 2:59:37 PM Thanks for the encouragement, Maddie and Peggy and yes, I felt as though I had given birth!!! I agonized about how to make her and everything I put on her, every bead I sewed, every stitch, and everything I did ..... Then when she was finished I wanted to keep her...but, alas, she just kept saying " thank you, Auntie M, but I have to go home now." hahahahaha....what a wonderful project this is, and I can feel how addicting it might become!!!
Sunny is so adorable....gotta love him!

Posted - Jun 18 2012 : 5:03:19 PM I just receive Josephine Dotee from Lesley today, she is adorable and I will get the photos up soon, but she loves playing the piano and loves to wear blue. She has wild hair like Beethovin whom she loves the most as a composer goes to the symphony and dresses up in her beads, like I said just adorable. Thanks Lesley
