Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 1:45:40 PM Well, I've done it. I've bought one of the dreaded things. Though sewing machines and I have bad blood between us, this little light weight one was just the right price. Anyone here with experience with this machine? I can still take it back if it is a loser.

Posted - Dec 18 2007 : 05:33:33 AM Oh Debi, it makes sewing so much easier now. I'm so going to enjoy this little machine. Where do you teach? I am curious if you do workshops or such. I need sewing camp for dummies, I really do. This will make it easier to get things done. One less stress is a good thing.

I bought it at a pawn shop for $40 and I can take it back if it doesn't work right, or I can't figure out how to use it or what not. I think the machine is just fine, I just need to learn its tricks. I haven't had a sewing machine since my early twenties and I'm machine challenged to boot but I think it will be worth playing around on and learning. I'm looking forward to many aprons

Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 2:46:51 PM I wanted a treadle, but this was so affordable and light weight, that I thought for basic aprons and dresses, it should do fine. I'll get a pic of it once I get all of the Christmas decorating stuff off the table

Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 2:39:48 PM I've got that model. It's a nice basic machine that will get you by. I'm spoiled now by my vintage machines that will sew through the tough stuff. (aka: fixing denim jeans) I haven't found a "modern" machine that can tackle the rough sewing that always seems to come across my sewing desk~they just aren't built to survive anymore.
