Posted - Jun 25 2008 : 6:46:26 PM I made this yesterday. I found the little pot at goodwill for a quarter and I used fabric I had in my stash. I think it turned out really cute.

Have any of you made any pinkeeps? I want to see!!

Posted - Jun 26 2008 : 08:54:16 AM I think wool does work better than fiberfill, but I don't have much access to any. I read somewhere recently that coffee grounds (used) are used in pincushions in Japan. I plan on trying them next pincushion I make (still haven't finished my minis!) . I know sawdust has been a typicaol stuffing for years. Time to experiment i guess. Your pinkeep is very sweet, Stephanie.

I just used fiberfill since I had two huge bags of it. I have a lot of wool laying around though (spinner) so I might use wool next time.

Posted - Jun 25 2008 : 7:33:53 PM Stephanie , that's really cute ! It reminded me that I found a miniature tin that looks like an old wash bucket at Hobby lobby a while back... I think I will copy you and make a pin keep...thanks for the inspiration and welcome to the boards!
