Posted - Feb 06 2009 : 11:14:51 AM Because we've all worked hard this week...
The drinks are on the house! Find the container for your favorite beverage. It can be anything - a tea pouch/box/can, soda can, coffee can, milk carton - whatever gives you a bit of inspiration (or whatever you know you have the colors for in your stash). Using that as an inspiration, and 100% materials from your stash, create an item of your choosing. Be sure to post your photos! I will be making participation ribbons and mailing them next week.

Posted - Feb 18 2009 : 06:52:03 AM i love the chi card! my project is going to be a tote bag with a coffee cup pocket... i had it all planned out and then a friend just "needed" a skirt. once i get some homework done today, i'll give it a start. there is no better way to unwind than with a cup of coffee and some sewing.

Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 4:10:28 PM Hmm . . . missed this challenge earlier. Not sure I've got much of an idea of what to do, either. Will post if/when I create my recycled masterpiece!
And Judith -- I love turning cans into money -- quite creative!

Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 3:51:56 PM My first thought was thank goodness I don't drink milk because I would hate to make a dress for a cow, even though I have enough fabric for a whole wardrobe. Then I really gave it a lot of thought and decided there wasn't anything made with a coke can that I could use. I have enough tchotchkes for holding pencils and such. So we took all the cans to the recycling place and turned them into money....

Inspiration: Oregon Chai Container/Box
Greeting Card: "encouragement" word sticker, yellow card, purple, black and white cardstock, purple brads
Seed Packets (yes, I am addicted to making them) Packet #1 Yellow paper cut on cricut into an envelope, glue dots, purple flower, orange brad, and die cut tag
Packet #2 Dark yellow swirly paper cut into envelope on cricut, glue dots, purple and white cardstock, black letter stickers, purple brads
How's everyone else doing? I have really been looking at everything that contains something to drink these days in a whole different light. Makes you realize that inspiration can come from anywhere...

Posted - Feb 14 2009 : 06:32:21 AM I love this challenge! I am so glad it is still open, it'll give me a little motivation to get some homework done so I can work on my coffee inspired piece.

Posted - Feb 13 2009 : 4:42:32 PM Kim, take your time - it took me a week and a gift from a friend before I figured out what I wanted to do. I still haven't started it yet - too many other projects and Valentine's presents to get done first.
