Posted - Feb 15 2010 : 7:42:48 PM Here is what I do with left over fabric.... what do you do with yours?

This apron was made from 19 - 5"squares....and I still had some fabric scraps left over so in true farmgirl fashion I made yoyos to trim the apron. Ok, now I have used up every last little scrap.

Posted - Feb 17 2010 : 09:38:10 AM ok, so here is a scrappers story, I was watching on TV a Quilting show several years ago. The host was talking w/the guest quilter who shared this funny story... The guest had carried on the plane & to the studio a paper large grocery type bag of bits & pieces of scraps...the night before, she had set up the work area in the studio for the next days shooting on quilting w/scraps,,,when she came in the next morning to her horror the paper bag of scraps was missing.... yep! you guessed it, the cleaning crew thought it was trash & tossed it out into the trash dumpsters! I can almost feel that guest's horror! lol!!
So I guess the moral of the story is: one womans scraps is another persons trash! AACCK! did I just use the "T" word? Sorry! lol!

Posted - Feb 17 2010 : 09:30:27 AM oh Good! I am so glad to see I am not the only one with a "Scrap Addiction" lol!
I save them (scraps) with the intention of using them for yoyos and then I look at them and think I want to use them for a crazy quilt instead and then I manage to talk myself into NOT using them in case I need them for something else later on down the road! lol! we scrap hoarders are falling to pieces!!!! hahaha! It takes strong disaplain to make ourselves use those scraps.
