Has any one ever seen the Homestead blessings DVD the Art of Sewing by the West ladies? I have never seen any of their DVD's but I would love to learn to sew. I have no one to teach me in person and was wondering if a DVD would be the next best thing. I am not good with reading about things, I am much better with a visual. I tried to read a book on how to knit and I can not get past the basic stitch.

I have purchased vidoes for various things, sewing, quilting, hand applique, etc. I also am a very visual person and I found these DVD's to be extrememly helpful to me. Also check with your local sewing machine dealer or fabric shop both places usually offer classes. I know our local community has adult classes for just about everything from cooking, sewing, woodworking to gardening.

I wish you were close I would teach you! Are you able to actually see what they are doing on these videos? I guess that would be the difference.
