Posted - Jan 20 2011 : 05:19:21 AM I so loved Jonni's (February Violet's) new kitchen floor. We live on military housing though, so new floor is not an option for us. A few issues back there was an article in MJF about floorcloths, so I improvised and made this to get kind of the same look.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Posted - Jan 20 2011 : 07:53:23 AM Beautiful, Elizabeth!!! It looks absolutely fabulous! You should sell your work--the floorcloth was the original rug, and they're so much easier to keep clean!

Posted - Jan 20 2011 : 07:37:27 AM GREAT JOB!!!!
I am so impressed and it looks wonderful. I have been thinking of putting something on my very over worked wood floor in the kitchen. You see it has seen many years of tiny hoofs prancing around on it because this is where I keep my little bottle or sick kids - it is so they are under foot and watched closely but over the years the floor has taken a beating. Great idea because I can never find a rug that fits. I will have to dig out that issue and review it. Thanks so much for sharing your handwork - Great Job!!
