Posted - Mar 26 2012 : 06:18:17 AM Hello Farmgirl Sisters,
I have some cross-stitch patterns, some including flosses and linen, that need new homes. I wanted to place them here for you crafty-ladies to see, rather than the swap area.
While I understand that some of you insist upon trading--please understand that I'm fine either way. I do not need anything in trade for these items so please don't let that stop you if one of these items appeals to you. I'm happy to pay postage too. I'd just like to see these projects used/appreciated.
The patterns are:
-the words, "Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread" surrounding a fruit basket. pattern only. Kind of ornate (will take some time to complete).
-the words, "God Bless Our Home" surrounded by flowers and ivy. Old fashioned and pretty. Also ornate.
-a Sarah Pope sampler. Has a lovely, stately house in the middle, surrounded by trees, flowers, gardens, people, animals. A long prayer/saying at the bottom. A big project. Includes flosses and a piece of linen.
-The Prairie Schooler. Band Samplers. Log cabins and trees. Four patterns.
-Family Ties. A family tree sampler. Includes flosses and linen.
- the words, "United in Marriage" above, then, below it says, "To love and to cherish" with a place to personalize it. Surrounded with bluebirds, flowers, and flourishes. Includes flosses and linen.
Please send me a notice here first (first come, first served). Then, I'll contact you offline for your address.
Thanks for giving these projects good homes!
Karen

Thank you all so much for giving my projects a second chance! All but a few of the patterns and projects found new homes. I'm closing the giveaway today. Having said that, feel free to contact me offline if one of the remainders interests you.
What fun! -- and such a nice way to make even more friends in the sisterhood.
Hugs to all!

Posted - Apr 12 2012 : 05:42:10 AM Karen, would it be too much to ask if you still have the France F. Sampler ?? IF you do, and don't mind sending overseas, I am interested. IF you think it would be too expensive, I understand...no worries :)

Posted - Apr 09 2012 : 06:13:35 AM Boy, Did I ever get mixed up!
It was Denise--not Julie--who changed her mind. It was the marriage sampler--not the family tree--that is available again.
So, Julie (heritagehunter), I will send your two out today. My humble apologies.
Margo, thank you for being gracious about my error.
I will update the list of what is available and hopefully I'll have it right!
Many thanks to all for your patience and for giving these projects good homes.

Posted - Apr 09 2012 : 05:46:48 AM Ouch!
I'm so sorry Julie! Someone wrote to me (offline) saying that they didn't want something that they had asked for here...I thought it was you...I'm so sorry. No harm done though. I still have it and Margo is a good sport.
Good grief! Isn't it a good thing I don't do this for a living! I'll check my email and get right back to you. I'm really sorry to both of you about the mix-up.
Also, Michele, I'm happy that you received yours. No need to pay anything. Knowing these projects are getting a second chance is enough thanks for me.
Best to all,
Karen

Posted - Apr 03 2012 : 08:19:32 AM Hello All,
I still have some projects available and I have found still more.
I'm not sure if I can scan these to post pictures--but will try today.
I should have said this earlier but, all of these patterns and samplers/materials are unused.
Here's what I have available now:
-the words, "God Bless Our Home" surrounded by flowers and ivy. Old fashioned and pretty. Also ornate.
-a Sarah Pope sampler. Has a lovely, stately house in the middle, surrounded by trees, flowers, gardens, people, animals. A long prayer/saying at the bottom. A big project. Includes flosses and a piece of linen.
-Family Ties. A family tree sampler. Includes flosses and linen.
- the words, "United in Marriage" above, then, below it says, "To love and to cherish" with a place to personalize it. Surrounded with bluebirds, flowers, and flourishes. Includes flosses and linen.
-Friendship Sampler. Under the alphabet are two houses and the saying, "The road between the houses of friends is never long." Comes with flosses and linen. GONE
-The McCarthy Sampler. Under the alphabet it contains the saying, "Love Thou the Lord and he will be A tender Father unto thee." Has some flourishes, birds, lambs, trees, border. Pattern only. GONE
-France F. Sampler. Has a house, a fruit basket, animals, flowers--all very sweet and folk-art-ish. Nice old fashioned look with quiet colors. Pattern only.
-Strawberry sampler. Has the saying, " Please to survey this With a tender eye Put on good nature And lay judgement by." Has a tall, brick house, nice, folksy baskets with viney strawberries, a bird, a deer, room for personal monogram. Pattern only.
-Prairie Schooler. Very simple, folk-art-like Wedding sampler, saying, "(bride name) and (groom name) United in Marriage (date)." Words are within a heart border. Doves. Also in this pamphlet is a pattern for a birth sampler (for a couple who moves fast, I guess) --says, "little (child's name) born (date)" surrounded by hearts and bunnies. Pattern only.
-Danish kit: Grapes and leaves, very rich looking colors. Lovely flosses and a piece of linen included. GONE
-Danish kit: Christmas sampler/wall cloth. Again, beautiful flosses and a piece of linen. GONE
Thanks!
Karen

Posted - Mar 27 2012 : 1:15:49 PM I would be interested in the family tree pattern and possibly the Sarah Pope sampler. Is it possible for you to post a picture of it? Or post what the saying is (even part of it). |
