Posted - Aug 15 2012 : 6:36:53 PM My hometown has made the plastic bag ban official. So I got to looking at my huge stack of feed bags that I can't bring myself to throw out (and we don't have recycling for this kind of thing yet) so I made some shopping totes. They turned out pretty cute, if I don't say so myself! The grocery checkers love them.
I have posted the instructions on our Facebook page for anyone who is interested. http://www.facebook.com/goodideasforlife |

Posted - Aug 24 2012 : 7:29:06 PM That is really cute and colorful! I did use some empty feed bags as weed barrier around some small trees last year. I topped the bags (open and split) with gravel. I am so glad that I did because it has acted as a heavy mulch in this drought.
thanks for sharing!
