Posted - May 05 2017 : 07:14:28 AM Good Morning All! I was wondering how many weavers we have in the "sisterhood"? I started with a Schacht 25" Flip Ridged Heddle and have since moved up to a 4 harness/6 treadle Harold Loom and a 4/6 Gilmore Loom. I am trying to self teach myself to spin as well.

Posted - May 07 2017 : 6:47:28 PM oh i forgot to ask, what is the best warp thread to use? When i bought mine loom, the lady gave me what she had left, and that is gone now. I did use some of my home spun as warp. While i like the runner i made, it did not work out real well. I hope you ladies have some suggestions. thanks

Posted - May 07 2017 : 6:44:49 PM i really like weaving. I have a schacht flip loom that i bought off of craigslist. My husband made an inkle loom. I have a schacht lady bug spinning wheel. I really enjoy using my sheep wool and making things from sheep to needles!

Posted - May 05 2017 : 07:41:02 AM I have a rigid heddle loom and would love to get a 4 or 8 harness. I really don't have anywhere to put one though, so that will probably remain a dream for now. I have an Ashford Traditional spinning wheel. Have been spinning for about a year and love it.
