Well,,, here is another repurpose project...
A gutted light fixture, $1.99, 3 tea cups at .49¢ each and about 1/3 of a can of spray paint ..
voila! Bird Feeder...

fyi.. the black object to the left, with the red flag,, is our old mail box from the road.. Hubby set it up on a post for me to store my gloves, , twine and a few small garden hand tools... an idea that I borrowed from someone, somewhere on the inter-net...

Well, as much as I luv this one,, it is going to be a gift,, for a lovely lady in the next town over,, she recently lost her husband, totally unexpected, hopefully the birds will bring her joy.
I had to pop into Wally-world last week,, and while there I picked up a dozen of those 98cent solar lights that you stick into the ground...just to have on hand..
I told hubby next Thrift trip I want to hunt for Sconces, the type with 1 or 2 arms.. to make wall/tree mount bird feeders...
I made this one earilier this summer,, but wouldn't it make a cute feeder, I would paint it blue or orange.. to hang from a tree...
I have in the past found the single arm type sconces...similar to these.. which would be great for a small patio or balcony.

Great idea, Grace!! It turned out really pretty with that nice blue as well as a nice bird feeder for your yard. You are so creative with thrift store finds.I am always amazed at what you create out of stuff I would have passed right by! Let us know how the birds enjoy 3 nice feeding stations.

making Solarliers' and bird feeders is soo easy..
I've even seen small plants placed into the tea cups....
pinterest has a gzillion ideas to 'borrow'...
