I found this over on facebook... and so I "borrowed" the photo! lol!
I suspect anyone you know who to paint can/could do this... just cover the case with Geddo,,, then paint your design and then seal it with a varatane or polythane sealant...

CeeJay.... you're gonna hate me... I have a red fabric tartan plaid t.c....
it currently houses some sweet hand stitched linens... I will take a photo of it and post it tonight... just to torment you!!! Lol!
I wouldn't part with it nor my plaid water cooler jug... neither are easy to come by as you know...
