Posted - Aug 10 2005 : 12:03:40 PM I have a stack of 8 aluminum tumblers from the 50's that are in good shape that I don't want any more.(have had them for years and never use them. The are all different colors and hold about 12 oz ea. approx. If you are interested just let me know and I will put all the names in a bowl and let one of my kids draw a name on Monday the 15th at noon. That person can have them for the price of postage...about $5. I thought about selling them on Ebay..but thought this would be more fun..I want them to have a good home. If I can find the pitcher that goes with them I will do the same with it later on.

Posted - Aug 10 2005 : 7:33:29 PM What a treasure to have them again. It's what my grandmother let us use and now I want to do the same with my grandkids. Count me in, too, please. You are so kind to do a drawing instead of Ebay, this is definitely more fun. Thanks for thinking of it.
Thanks, Kay, for the tip on this topic.
Blessings on your day.

Posted - Aug 10 2005 : 12:14:10 PM Jenny,
Are these the ones with the curved out upper edge, the ones that gave everything a wonderful metallic tang?
I have such memories of drinking kool-aid out of these when I was a kid. The were part of our "playhouse" kitchen. (The playhouse being the abandoned smokehouse on the farmstead.
