Posted - Jun 11 2012 : 4:57:37 PM I want to can some potato soup. I have canned potatoes and wonder if I can add some chopped onion and celery to the potatoes and process as usual. I would make it fairly concentrated so I can add milk when I used it. What do you think?
Thanks, Belle |

Posted - Jun 14 2012 : 06:17:25 AM I wonder about processing the potatoes again since they are already canned. Just thought it make them mushy since processing is also cooking them.

Posted - Jun 12 2012 : 1:50:13 PM Mary Beth, Yes, I am pressure canning. I know several ladies that are afraid of the pressure cooker. Never enters my mind. I have been canning for 60 years. That's 4 years less than I have been sewing. Good Grief!! I must be getting old. |
