Posted - Feb 20 2013 : 08:48:23 AM Hey all you smart farmgirls, I have a question about some old cast iron pans that were given to me. They are rusty and one pan has some greasy waxy build-up as well as rust it is really ugly and fuzzy with dust .
How do I clean these up and re-habilitate them for safe food preperation?

Posted - Feb 20 2013 : 08:57:21 AM I love cast iron and have reconditioned several pans. I posted a blog post that gives directions on how to recondition... instead of typing it all out. Hope you don't mind. http://www.mittenstatesheepandwool.com/2012/07/lodge-cast-iron-find.html
