This nifty bit of information was in my grocery store's monthly magazine.

Butter to Olive Oil Conversion Chart

Butter ..................................Olive Oil
1 Tbsp. = 1/8 stick.....................2 1/4 tsp.
2 Tbsp. = 1/4 stick.....................1 1/2 Tbsp.
1/4 cup = 1/2 stick.....................3 Tbsp.
1/2 cup = 1 stick.......................1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp.
2/3 cup = 1 3/8 sticks..................1/2 cup
3/4 cup = 1 1/2 sticks..................1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp.
1 cup = 2 sticks......................3/4 cup

Shannon, I got faith in you that you're come up with a way to trigger your memory.

Personally I'm not much on measuring. Mostly I do a pinch, dash, or splash of this, and a handful of that. That's why I'm not into baking; it's way too precise for me. I like to throw it all in and see what happens.

Awesome information! If i am looking at it right (I'm a little brain dead today) it looks like for everything tablespoon of butter, you do 3/4 teaspoons less of olive oil. Now to just retain and remember that information ;)

That's great! I'm going to copy it. I use coconut oil to sub for butter a lot, but sometimes it does have a very coconut flavor. I can see how olive oil would be better for some things. Thanks you!
