Butter to Olive Oil Conversion Chart Butter ..................................Olive Oil 1 Tbsp. = 1/8 stick.....................2 1/4 tsp. 2 Tbsp. = 1/4 stick.....................1 1/2 Tbsp. 1/4 cup = 1/2 stick.....................3 Tbsp. 1/2 cup = 1 stick.......................1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp. 2/3 cup = 1 3/8 sticks..................1/2 cup 3/4 cup = 1 1/2 sticks..................1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp. 1 cup = 2 sticks......................3/4 cup

Personally I'm not much on measuring. Mostly I do a pinch, dash, or splash of this, and a handful of that. That's why I'm not into baking; it's way too precise for me. I like to throw it all in and see what happens.

Posted - Aug 29 2014 : 12:05:46 PM Awesome information! If i am looking at it right (I'm a little brain dead today) it looks like for everything tablespoon of butter, you do 3/4 teaspoons less of olive oil. Now to just retain and remember that information ;)
