After receiving Blood Orange Olive Oil as a gift I have been itching to make an infused oil. I have lemon essential oil on hand so I gave it a go.

1 cup evoo
1/2 tsp. lemon essential oil

It tasted good to me. Will let it sit a day or two then try it in a dish. If it's not enough lemon taste for me I will start off adding 1/8 tsp. more.

Sarah I hope you & hubby like it. I put some over sliced tomatoes with dried tarragon and it was very good.

I also used the blood orange oil on roasted sweet potatoes it's good too.

Thanks for sharing this Sara! DH is very much into infused olive oils for his cooking. I will make him some of this, I happen to have Lemon oil on hand too. :)
