I've been anxiously watching our grape arbor over the past two weeks for any indication that the grapes are ready for harvest. Been a BANNER year for grapes at the Neece household. We have a relatively young plant only 2 years old but this must have been the season for grapes because the arbor is loaded. We had some pretty cold nights the last couple evenings and the grapes are purple and tender but oh so tart! Should I wait a while? Somewhere around the 25th or so? I'd sure hate for the birds to devour them, but I am anxious about the sugar content for jelly-making.

Any advise from the grape growers on the forum would be greatly appreciated! Also any good grape jelly recipes would be appreciated as well....
